Thanks for stopping by.

I am a portrait and documentary photographer serving the Inland Empire in Southern California and beyond. When you hire me you hire a breadth of experience connecting with people along with the artistic and technical nuances of storytelling. My clients keep coming back because of my ability to connect with people and because of my ability to document important moments.

I have been photographing since I was ten years old, when I bought my first camera. Later I earned degrees in photography and psychology at a small liberal arts college in Napa Valley, California. While in college, I grew my technical and artistic skills. In graduate school I learned the art of documentary photography at Salt Institute for Documentary Photography, in Portland, Maine (now part of Maine College of Art & Design), and later back in California, received a Masters in English focusing on writing and journalism. This education combined with two decades of teaching and photographing bring a wealth of experience to each photography assignment.

It is in documentary photography and portraiture where my enthusiasm for people, culture, education, and human storytelling culminate. My experiences living in Australia, The US, Paris, and Thailand, have enhanced my respect for the human voyage and for each person’s story.

As a photographer it is my gift to be able to help preserve the special moments in life. I am excited to document you, your family, or your events. You will be so glad you made the investment.

When I am not photographing I am backpacking, making stone-ground chocolate, running, playing with my kitties, sipping tea, or soaking up nature.

I am excited to collaborate with you. Let’s document meaningful moments together,

Danelle
