Kodak NO.3-A Folding Autographic Brownie

My friend Jessica returned from sorting through her late grandparents' home with this treasure for me. I have never seen this model Brownie before, and I am delighted to add it to my collection. I love to imagine what photos were recorded through this camera. Who held it and created art with it? Photography, despite its seeming transformation, is still about light, about moments, about life. This honors all, past and present, who use their camera to document the world around them.

Inyo National Forest

Being active outdoors has been something my brother and I have loved since the beginning. This year's family camping trip with my brother's family, our parents, and my husband was in the Inyo National Forest. My brother's absolute thrill of all things mountain, set us hiking up to Kearsarge Pass above Onion Valley in the Inyo National Forest. At the very top we could see down into Kings Canyon National Forest. This is the highest I have ever climbed at elevation of 11,760. These photos were taken with my mini canon hiking camera.

Water Study

I am enthralled by the colors of the water along the Pacific Coast. After Montara Beach Photo Camp, my husband and I drove down the Pacific Coast Highway. I had never before spent days watching the ocean water. As we drove I kept stopping to photograph the brilliant colors. The most amazing part was the patches and swirls of colors within one section of the ocean.
